Sherwood Township supervisors voted to adopt the FY2025–2026 budget at their April 1 meeting after Supervisor Stanton moved to accept the plan and Treasurer Dale Marie Brubaker seconded the motion. The motion passed.
The board also opened sealed bids. Supervisor Stanton and Treasurer Brubaker opened the envelopes and identified the highest bid: Tyler Brandon of 5165 CR RD 29, Auburn, IN 46706, submitted a bid of $6,543.00. The board recorded that the bidder will be contacted this week. The minutes do not specify what parcel or item was offered for bid.
Clerk Smith was reported to be drafting an ordinance to allow the township to recover insurance fees for house-fire and personal-injury responses; the ordinance is at the drafting stage and no vote on it was taken at the meeting.
