The St. James Township board scheduled Board of Review meetings and passed administrative resolutions at its Feb. 11 session.
The board set the BOR organizational meeting for March 3, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., and appeal hearings for March 9 (3:00 p.m.) and March 10 (11:00 a.m.), to be held at the Print Shop Conference Room. The board passed a resolution allowing BOR appeals via correspondence and adopted a Poverty Exemption Guideline.
Separately, the board approved submitting a joint letter from the Joint Telecommunications Advisory Committee and the Beaver Island Association to Michigan congressional members calling for modernization of Universal Service Fees charged to landline customers.
