The St. James Township Board voted unanimously on April 8 to approve final budget amendments closing fiscal year 2025/2026 for the General Fund, Road Fund, Campground Fund, Marina Fund, Sewer Fund and Special Revenue/Restricted Fund. The motion to approve the FY2025/2026 amendments was made by Peirano and supported by Gillespie; the roll-call vote was Cole Y, Gillespie Y, McDonough Y, Peirano Y and Welke Y.
The board also approved initial amendments for the FY2026/2027 General Fund and the Special Revenue/Restricted Fund. That motion was made by Gillespie and supported by Peirano and passed by the same unanimous roll call. The minutes note that Marina and Road Fund amendments for FY2026/2027 will be considered at a future board meeting.
The approvals include carryover and close-out adjustments identified by the township’s finance committee. No dollar amounts were recorded in the draft minutes for the amendments to individual funds.
The board’s actions on the amendments were recorded as formal motions with roll-call votes; the minutes do not include further detail on line-item changes or the specific dollar totals for each fund. The township indicated that the Finance Committee will meet to address payments previously tabled and that remaining fund-specific actions (Marina and Road fund amendments) will be taken up later.
