Springport manager reports wastewater, MDOT M‑99 timeline and grant activity

Manager Saylors reported that she and President Gordon Webb reviewed the village budget and that "the Village is on track for the year." Manager Saylors and Collin Hawes also met with MDOT via Zoom about the M-99 Project; construction remains planned for 2026, and an on-site MDOT meeting is scheduled for Aug. 20 at 10 a.m. The minutes note the M-99 schedule and upcoming on-site coordination but do not record further details about scope or financing.
President Webb reported he met with Ray Hernandez to prepare paperwork for a possible MEDC grant, and the minutes state an Egle grant application has been submitted. The council recorded an Administration committee meeting for Aug. 19, 2024, where a proposed Rental Inspection Ordinance will be discussed.
