Wales Planning Board to require PDF plans, reduce paper copies for zoning applications; accepts March minutes

The Wales Planning Board at its April 15 meeting agreed to draft amendments to its planning and zoning application requirements that would reduce the number of paper copies applicants must submit and require a PDF version of all plans to be emailed to the Code Enforcement Coordinator.
Board members said the change is intended to modernize submissions and reduce paper handling; the amendments will be written and proposed at the board’s next meeting. No formal vote on the application amendments was taken at the April 15 meeting.
The board did take one formal vote: Motion 041526-01, made by Zachery Berry, planning board member, and seconded by Sarah L. Ryan, planning board member and clerk, to accept the minutes of March 16, 2026, with edits. The motion passed on a roll-call vote: Jason Oney, Planning Board chair — Yes; Sarah L. Ryan — Yes; Zachery Berry — Yes; Sam Champigny — Absent. The motion was recorded as approved and the meeting was adjourned at 6:39 p.m.
The board scheduled its next meeting for May 13, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Wales Senior Center.
