The Clarks Village Board handled several routine and administrative items during its May 13 meeting at Village Hall.
Trustee Danial Parker was administered the Oath of Office by Clerk Kari Podliska and will serve the balance of the vacant term through December 2028. The board approved the consent agenda — which included minutes from April 8 and May 4, a $1,500 transfer from Sales Tax to the NPAIT Water Resin Reserve Fund, a $5,000 transfer from the General Fund to the NPAIT insurance fund, and payment of listed payroll and claims — on a motion by Trustee James Parsons seconded by Trustee Chris Langley. The roll-call vote recorded Ayes from Parsons, Langley, Parker, Glynn and Zoucha (5-0).
The board also moved to advance prior nuisance cases to the next stage of abatement for properties including 508 N Myrtle (vehicle licensing issue), 109 W Barton (scrap metal) and 205 N Green (mowing letter issued). That motion, made by Parsons and seconded by Zoucha, passed on a 5-0 roll-call vote. Separately, the board accepted a TCF grant of $2,200 to purchase replacement flags for Memorial Lane poles and decided to postpone the hazardous waste collection due to insufficient volunteer turnout.
Clerk Podliska noted that flag-pole clips have been purchased and volunteers will be invited to meet Friday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m. to install flags for Memorial Day. The next regular meeting was set for June 10, 2026 at 7 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 9:28 p.m.
