The St. Louis Board of Education on Sept. 15 accepted two retirements, one resignation and approved several new hires across athletics and support staff.
The board approved, with regrets, the retirement of Clifford Gamber, Director of Transportation, and the retirement of Polly Austin, a Title paraprofessional. The board also accepted the resignation of Mitch Nichols (TSN 8th grade boys basketball and TSN track and field coach).
Following personnel reports, the board approved the hiring of Karah Shattuck as an at‑risk paraprofessional at Nikkari Elementary; Justin Sahr as middle school cross country coach; Isabelle Castillo as middle school 7th‑grade volleyball coach; Jeff DeRosia as varsity baseball coach; and Jason Inbody as varsity boys basketball coach. Each motion passed by unanimous vote.
The board had earlier added the hiring of Jason Inbody to the meeting agenda before voting. Public comment on athletics was recorded earlier in the meeting by Brian Devine.
The district did not provide employment contract lengths or salary figures in the meeting record; those details were not specified in the minutes.
