Commission approves NRCS-funded tornado debris removal on Wolf Creek and authorizes related bids

The St. Clair County Commission on March 10 approved an agreement with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to remove tornado debris along Wolf Creek near Roberts Mill Pond Road, and authorized letting bids for the debris removal contract and for a pole barn at the Road Department.
The county recorded the estimated total cost of the Wolf Creek cleanup at $211,132.15, with NRCS set to reimburse $162,031.65, and commissioners voted in favor of entering the agreement and proceeding to bid. The Engineer reported that Alabama Power has reduced the number of poles to be installed along Saine Road to six (the transcript also contains an alternate spelling, 'Sanie Road').
The motion to approve the NRCS agreement and to let the related bids was made by Commissioner Ricky Parker and seconded by Commissioner Bob Mize; the board recorded the action as approved with all voting aye.
