YADKINVILLE, N.C. — At its March 16 regular meeting the Yadkin County Board of Commissioners approved a slate of routine and administrative actions, including consent agenda items, several contracts for facilities work, a personnel reclassification, a clinic contract extension and the sale of a county parcel.
Key actions the board approved 5‑0 included:
- Consent agenda items and end‑of‑year budget adjustments that covered non‑departmental rent increases, county attorney contract adjustments, and SRO reimbursements from towns.
- Contracts: a monthly shredding services contract with Pioneer Shredding Services; Tek84 annual service for the Intercept whole‑body scanner at the Detention Center; W Brown Construction to relocate a Magnolia Building hallway door ($6,500); Marvin's Garage Doors for Elections fire shutter and wall modification (quote basis and scope detailed in file); and Dorsett Heating & Air Conditioning to replace a lower‑level HVAC unit ($6,937).
- Personnel and contracts: reclassification of Physician Extender II Position #700020 back to full‑time (motion approved 5‑0); an amended contract extending Dr. Alison Snider's temporary clinic coverage through April 1, 2027 with a not‑to‑exceed amount of $32,600 to ensure patient coverage while recruitment continues.
- Real property sale: the Board adopted a resolution accepting Brannon Friends Meeting, Inc.'s $20,000 offer for a county parcel on Branon Church Road (Parcel ID 488600662854) after no upset bids were received during the advertised period.
