Buckingham Township promotes two officers and swears in a new officer

Magisterial District Judge Barton administered oaths on June 24 as Buckingham Township promoted two officers and swore in a new hire in a public ceremony preceding the Board of Supervisors meeting.
Chief Stroud opened the event and announced the promotions: “Tonight we will be promoting two of our officers,” and described the officers’ backgrounds. Corporal Kevin Miszkiewicz, introduced by the chief, was noted for prior service with Temple University Police, work with the Bucks County Drug Task Force, roles as field training officer and J‑TAC officer, and for completing leadership coursework. The chief said Miszkiewicz is pursuing a master’s degree at Delaware Valley University.
Officer Robert Rodolfi was also introduced and praised for his service. The chief outlined Rodolfi’s path from West Chester University to the Philadelphia Police Department and to Buckingham PD, where he has served as a field training officer and officer in charge under a corporal.
Judge Barton led the oath for the promoted officers and for Michael Brown, whom the chief introduced as a new hire with nearly seven years’ service at the Philadelphia Police Department and a criminal justice degree from Holy Family University. Family members for each honoree were present and held Bibles for the oath.
The ceremony included applause and photographs; after the oaths the board proceeded to its regular agenda. No disciplinary or policy changes were announced at the ceremony; it was exclusively a promotional and swearing-in event.
What happens next: The township will carry the new ranks into departmental duty rosters; no formal board vote was required for the ceremonial oaths recorded at the meeting.
