Registrars outline 14-day early-voting plan; town manager updates council on OFI property purchase

Registrars requested the use of council chambers for early voting and described staffing, training and equipment needs for the expected increase in days of in‑person voting.
Separately, the town manager reported that due diligence on the OFI property purchase revealed only minor surface repairs (a cracked concrete pad and parking-lot cracking), and that staff targeted a closing in early September with a concurrent lease-back for the seller. The council asked the administration to follow through on required repairs and final contract terms before closing.
Registrars said past early-voting primaries drew under 200 in-person voters, but general-election totals could be higher; they requested the council’s support in securing a stable location and sufficient poll workers for the 14-day schedule.
