Poweshiek County board approves routine business; hears IT and employee insurance presentations

The Poweshiek County Board of Supervisors met June 25 and carried routine business including approval of the day’s agenda and the June 22 meeting minutes.
Galyn Nook, the county IT director, met with the board to provide an update on ongoing IT projects. Representatives Andrew Wittmus and Susan Allen from Globe Life/Liberty National presented insurance policy options they would like to offer county employees; the board asked the representatives to email price quotes to the Auditor so the offerings can be compared to existing employee benefits.
County Engineer Lyle Brehm also updated the board on Secondary Roads projects; the update was recorded as informational. The meeting adjourned at 10:10 a.m. on a motion by Jacki Bolen, seconded by Jason Roudabush (2 ayes).
