Poweshiek County economic development official details grants, downtown revitalization and business audits

Strovers also said she has started monthly meetings with the mayors of the county's cities to coordinate efforts.
As a visible downtown improvement, Strovers described a recently revitalized vacant lot at 915 Main St., Grinnell, converted into a parklet with picnic tables intended as a place for residents to socialize. The board received the update as information; no formal action was taken on the items presented.
The board did not schedule follow-up votes during the meeting; supervisors listed their upcoming meetings and the session adjourned at 9:57 a.m.
