Board of Finance accepts donations, approves tower lease and minutes; voice votes carry routine items

Donations: The board accepted a $10,000 donation from Neighbor to Neighbor designated for emergency funding administered through social services; a $10,000 donation from the Madison Chamber of Commerce for beach and pump/maintenance purposes was also accepted. Board members asked how Neighbor to Neighbor funds are administered; a staff representative explained there is an application and vetting process overseen by social services and that the social services director coordinates with Neighbor to Neighbor on requests.
Lease approval: The board approved a lease agreement with American Tower Asset Sub LLC for a communications tower on State Route 79. The lease had been approved earlier by the board of selectmen and the Finance Board approved the item by voice vote.
Other business: Members briefly reviewed financial statements and then adjourned. Several motions were handled as "easy motions" in members' words and passed without roll-call tallies.
