The Oldham County Fiscal Court met in special session June 29 and approved year‑end fiscal housekeeping, personnel actions and contracts as the county closed fiscal 2025‑26.
Judge Executive David Vogel opened the session and the court unanimously approved the agenda and minutes of the June 12 meeting. County staff presented budget transfers staff said were needed to cover end‑of‑year line‑item adjustments; presenter Matt told the court the transfers totaled $839,270 and thanked finance staff for preparing the packet. The court approved the transfers by voice vote.
The court also approved payment of two sets of payables (the end of FY25‑26 and the start of FY26‑27) following a motion and second. Beau Glass presented annual maintenance contracts for generators at county facilities and said the only price increase was a $100 rise for the police‑department unit; the court approved the contract (presenter used the name “Everpar,” while the motion referenced “Everpower,” a discrepancy noted in the record).
On personnel, the court adopted a dispatch telecommunicator step plan and approved a new shift‑supervisor job description. Andrew Woosley successfully moved to amend the job description to require shift supervisors to make notifications in accordance with agency directives; the amended job description passed with one abstention. The court also approved hiring Olivia Matthews as a lifeguard at $15 per hour effective the next day.
The fiscal court handled multiple appointments and reappointments to fire‑protection district boards and the chamber/economic development board; motions for Peter Duvall, John Ames, Tony Ising, Neil Webster, Dennis Bridal and William Hancock were seconded and carried.
The meeting closed after staff introduced new Planner I Kaylee Crum and members discussed parks updates, a veterans monument request and upcoming Oldham County Day.
