Adopt minutes: The Committee approved the minutes of the Jan. 12, 2026 regular session after a motion by Mr. Drummey with a second from Mr. McCarthy.
Approve warrants: The Committee approved the January 2026 warrants, placed them on file and authorized the Chair to sign on a motion by Ms. Spadafora and a second from Mr. Drummey.
NRT contract extension: The Committee approved a one‑year extension of the district’s special‑education transportation contract with NRT (one optional year of two), on a motion by Ms. Spadafora and a second from Mr. Bernard.
Subcommittee restructuring: After suspending docket rules to permit the change, the Committee voted to rename the Budget Subcommittee to Finance, redefine the Technology and Student Services Subcommittee’s focus, reestablish an ad hoc Teaching and Learning Subcommittee, dissolve several inactive ad hoc subcommittees and update liaison assignments; motions were moved by Ms. Spadafora and seconded by Mr. Bernard.
Executive session and personnel action: The Committee entered executive session at 8:21 p.m. by unanimous vote and reconvened at 8:44 p.m.; upon return, the Committee approved compensation for the Early Learning Center principal effective Feb. 1, 2026 (motion by Ms. Spadafora, second by Ms. Hortie).
MOA with SEIU Local 888: The Committee accepted a memorandum of agreement for Administrative Assistants with SEIU Local 888 and authorized the Chair to sign (motion by Ms. Spadafora, second by Mr. Bernard).
Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 8:46 p.m. on a motion by Mr. Drummey and a second by Mr. Bernard. All roll‑call votes recorded each listed committee member as voting yes for the recorded motions.
