Horsham Township Council members approved routine and project actions at their meeting, including the authorization of payments, a land‑development waiver for a hotel project, a historic‑review services agreement and the solicitation of multiple public‑works bids.
A council member moved to approve the list of checks in all funds for June 18–24, 2026 in the amount of $582,362.50; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
On a separate item, the council considered and adopted Resolution 26‑04‑W, a waiver of land development with conditions for Town Place Suites at 198 Precision Road to remove an existing inground pool and concrete patio and replace them with a pervious (PA) patio. The resolution passed on roll call with unanimous votes from Mr. McCarti, Dr. Patterson, Miss Thompson, Miss Junky and Miss Laugh.
Staff reviewed three zoning hearing board applications to be scheduled in July (Park Road in‑law suite, Sun Valley Drive shed and a Balmora Way swimming pool), and recommended neutrality with conditions—such as deed restrictions, planting or rain‑barrel mitigation—to address impervious‑coverage issues where applicable.
Council approved a June 15, 2026 proposal from Wolston Home Architects to provide historical‑architecture review services for the Worth Farm property at 1336 Limekiln Pike, citing the need to retain the same consultant as the project moves to construction. That motion passed on voice vote.
Finally, council authorized solicitation of bids for demolition of a deteriorated structure at 449 Cedar Hill Road (project expected to exceed the $22,000 bid limit) and for contractor milling, paving and line‑painting projects; staff explained a prior paving solicitation must be reissued because a legal advertising window was missed.
All actions taken at this meeting were routine municipal approvals; staff said the paving project funds remain available despite the reissuance requirement and that timetable adjustments are expected.
The council adjourned after announcing the next meeting (Wednesday, July 8 at 6 p.m.), the return of the Horsham Farmers Market and upcoming community events.
