Dodge County supervisors approve $809,326 in claims, employee handbook and routine items

The Dodge County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved $809,326.46 in financial claims and $296,939.61 in wage and hour claims during its Jan. 21 meeting in the Courthouse board room in Fremont.
The board also approved the 2026 Approved Dodge County Depositories list and authorized Chairman Missel and County Clerk Micki Gilfry to sign the document, and it accepted and filed a packet of correspondence that included an audit report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The board approved the Jan. 7, 2026 meeting minutes as printed.
Supervisors unanimously adopted a newly revised Dodge County Employee Handbook that includes policies governing the use of mobile electronic devices in county vehicles. The handbook updates were carried without recorded dissent; no individual mover or seconder was noted in the minutes.
Other routine administrative actions approved at the meeting included declaring a 2003 Freightliner FL70 cab and chassis with flatbed hoist as surplus and authorizing it for public auction, with the vehicle to be taken to Jack Nitz & Associates for sale.
The board recessed for other statutory business, convened as the Board of Equalization later in the morning, and adjourned its regular session at 1:00 p.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 4, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
