The evaluation covered the period beginning July 1, 2023 through the end of September 2023, and committee members described it as a difficult cycle because of two major disruptions: a police search of district property and the superintendent's medical absence. The speaker presenting the evaluation said these events contributed to delays in the review schedule but that the committee nevertheless completed the required evaluation process.
Members noted areas of strength and areas for improvement. The committee said it would increase investments in observation and evaluation structures and identified continued growth in math achievement as a concrete follow-up priority. "There are some clear implications out of this," the presenter said, adding that the committee had set goals to address the flagged areas.
A motion to accept the superintendent evaluation was moved, seconded and approved by unanimous voice vote. Committee members thanked the superintendent and the four members who participated in the evaluation process.
