Superintendent Melony Brady‑Shanley and Principal Carol Tomkalski reviewed the Forum Feedback and Action Plan compiled from recent staff and parent forums at the Jan. 12 Sharon Board of Education meeting. The minutes state the plan was presented in detail and the two administrators invited board questions; no substantive changes were recorded in the minutes.
Separately, the board acknowledged receiving an 8th‑grade student letter requesting funds to help with a Washington trip. The board forwarded PTO questions to the superintendent and, by motion of Peter Birnbaum seconded by Cathy Winburn, added a PTO communication report to the agenda.
The NESDEC School Enrollment Report was reviewed and the board agreed it will be posted on the Sharon Center School website. Board member Nancy Hegy Martin also requested that minutes be provided to the Communication Committee so highlights can be included in the district newsletter.
