New Ashford road and town-building maintenance updates; culvert repaired, church utilities prioritized

Road Commissioner Keith Lacasse told the Select Board on Nov. 4 that he repaired the culvert on Ingraham Road, patched most town potholes, cleaned the ditches on Ingraham Road, scraped Greylock Road and placed three buckets of six-inch minus in a washout on Greylock Road.
In follow-up town property work, the board asked that water and propane be hooked up to the church as soon as possible; the board asked Lacasse to schedule boring work and to measure the distance from the nearby stream before proceeding. Chair Jason Jayko said he will contact LP Adams about replacing doors at both the church and the fire station. The board asked the Historical Commission to contact a nonprofit organization associated with Steve Nielsen to help with restoration of the church steeple.
Ken McInerney said he will ask Pete Rancourt to perform annual maintenance on the generators at Town Hall and the Fire Station. Diane George thanked Lacasse for the culvert repairs during public comment.
The board did not record additional votes on these maintenance items at the Nov. 4 meeting; they were discussed as operational updates and assigned for follow-up.
