The Monona County Board of Supervisors met June 16, 2026, in the courthouse boardroom in Onawa and approved a series of routine administrative actions.
On a motion by Supervisor Tom Brouillette and second by Supervisor Vince Phillips, the board authorized Conservation Director Josh Schaben to trade in a 2021 John Deere Z997R zero‑turn mower toward the purchase of a Cub Cadet ProZ 9772L (72‑inch deck). The listed purchase price was $18,424.89, the trade‑in value $11,100.89, and the resulting net cost $7,324; the motion passed unanimously (Fox, Brouillette, Phillips).
The board also approved an internal posting for an Operator III at the Onawa shop, accepted a resignation from Dustin Landon, approved county claims and the minutes of the June 9, 2026 meeting, and acknowledged receipt of the Monona County Sheriff’s Report of Fees Collected for May 2026, a Post‑Election Audit/Auditor Certification for Precinct CP002, and the Monona County Clerk of Court Report of Fees Collected for May 2026. Supervisor Fox reported he attended the Monona County Conservation meeting and shared related information with the board.
Supervisor Fox moved, and the board unanimously appointed Angie DeVries to the Monona County Board of Health. The board adjourned at 11:17 a.m.
