Chairman Bo Fox said Mauch will create a 2‑foot bottom pilot channel while avoiding disturbance to field‑side slopes; spoils were authorized to be piled on the Secondary Roads side for Secondary Roads staff to smooth.
Drainage clerks Amy Borchardt‑Sick and Ashley Brown presented the update to the trustees and confirmed construction activity has begun. The trustees then unanimously approved drainage claims, with the claims filed in the drainage office.
Tyler Buman of AgriVia Engineering presented an example drone‑footage report the company prepared for another county and estimated mapping and reporting would cost roughly $200–$250 per mile of ditch. Trustees asked staff to determine the county’s total miles of drainage ditch so staff can obtain a precise cost estimate; no procurement action was taken at the meeting.
Engineer Caleb Rasmussen provided a Certificate of Substantial Completion dated June 15, 2026 for the Oliver Lake Lateral 1 project and said he will communicate with contractor Armodus about next steps and expectations. No formal change orders or additional funding actions were reported.
The trustees recessed and the Board of Supervisors reconvened later the same morning.
