Sanford council unanimously authorizes Saginaw Road bridge replacement

Marcus Thrush moved to adopt Resolution 2026.02 and Leah Ziems seconded; the motion passed with votes from Don Whaley, Leah Ziems, Marcus Thrush and Carl Hamann.
Earlier in the meeting the minutes record that the village withdrew FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant applications for two properties, 391 W. Center and 358 W. Saginaw. The minutes do not link the grant withdrawals directly to the bridge project or provide further explanation.
