The Strasburg Village Council on April 21 approved routine business including the April 7 meeting minutes and the March financial statement package. Council approved March Unified Bank statements, SSB worksheets and a list of bills totaling $238,245.03 on a unanimous roll‑call vote.
Mayor Bruce Metzger read Village Administrator Mike Rosenberry’s report. Rosenberry outlined a meeting with EDG on April 28 to review the 30% design of the wastewater treatment plant expansion; said the Safety Committee will discuss village safety issue areas and that ODOT has acknowledged a concern but requires a village‑funded traffic study for certain grant opportunities; mentioned improved signage for the Wooster Avenue crosswalk at the park entrance; reported military banners would be hung the week of May 11 with brackets funded by Willandale, the American Legion and the village; and noted a May 1 deadline for contractor estimates to upgrade stadium restrooms. Rosenberry also recommended directional signs for the park at $775 from Alron; council approved that expense unanimously.
Council received and recorded a zoning report and committee updates, and Legal Counsel Terry Seeberger reminded voters the fire equipment renewal levy will appear on the May 5, 2026 ballot.
