The Strasburg Village Council on April 21 approved the purchase of a fully equipped 2026 Dodge Durango for the police department at a cost of $55,517 through State Purchasing. The purchase recommendation from Police Chief Randy Haugh was reviewed by Safety Chairman Jason Marks; Wes Hostetler moved to approve and Jason Marks seconded. The motion passed on a unanimous roll call.
Council minutes note the department’s current Tahoe will have its last payment in June 2026 and that a 2016 cruiser requires new tires, which factored into the timing of the purchase.
No additional procurement bidders or financing details are recorded in the minutes.
