The Strasburg Village Council on April 7 suspended the mandatory three-reading rule and unanimously approved two ordinances: O-5-2026, which states what municipal services the village will provide to territory upon annexation, and O-6-2026, which enacts new sections of the Strasburg Code to incorporate Ohio Revised Code sections 715.26 and 3929.86 regarding fire-loss claims.
Jeff Smith moved and Kathy Burrier seconded the motions to suspend rules and approve O-5-2026; Wes Hostetler moved and Lewis Dreher seconded the motions to suspend rules and approve O-6-2026. Both ordinances took effect immediately after approval.
Separately, the minutes record that Ordinance O-2-2026 was tabled and no final action was taken on that item during the meeting.
