Commission appoints CTEC member, reviews election calendar and schedules work sessions

At the June 23 meeting the Crawford County Board of Commissioners handled several administrative items: Commissioner Tom Moody moved, and Commissioner Carl Wood seconded, to appoint Bryan Hoffman to the CTEC Board of Directors (motion 26-293); the motion prevailed.
County Clerk Lisa Lusker reminded residents that the primary-election party-switch deadline was June 1, advance ballots and early voting begin July 15, and a Saturday early voting location will be available July 25 at Homer Cole Community Center from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Commissioner Blair said he will arrange a work session with Road and Bridge Coordinator Alyssa Edwards and Pittsburg City official Matt Bacon to discuss bridge project budget details and emphasized careful FEMA documentation for disaster recovery; Emergency Manager Quinton Parsons will provide an update on Friday.
The board recessed to a closed executive session to discuss Health Department Director applicants under K.S.A. 75-4319(b)(1) and returned to open session with no action taken; the meeting adjourned at 11:19 a.m.
