MLP manager withholds Whip City repair bills pending vendor info; church well hookup estimated under $15,000

Ken McInerney, New Ashford's MLP manager, told the Select Board on July 22 that he is withholding authorization for repair bills from Whip City until he receives more information from Andrew Short. McInerney said he has re-filed an insurance claim related to the repairs and will obtain an estimate to connect 205 Mallery Road to the town fiber network; he noted there is grant money remaining that could pay for that drop. Separately, Road Commissioner Keith Lacasse estimated it would cost under $15,000 to connect the Church plumbing to the Town Hall well and said he will get prices for plastic piping. Chair Jason Jayko said he will contact Ostermann to determine the age and safety of the church's propane tank. Ken also said he will schedule a Conservation Commission meeting so the commission can vote to accept a land donation associated with the Woodlands Partnership grant (FY24).
