Rushford Village officials recorded four newly issued permits at the March 17 Planning and Zoning meeting and reviewed other permit activity.
Planning and Zoning Administrator Jon Pettit listed the new permits by number and applicant: #1751 Jeremiah Smith — kitchen and bathroom remodel (County Road 27); #1752 Brett Mattson — new deck and pergola (State Highway 16); #1753 Brian Olson — grain bins (State Highway 16); and #1754 Brian Olson — new home (State Highway 16). Pettit also said he had received permit applications from Dan Sorum, Bob Kingsley and Blake Erickson and that he is waiting for further information from applicant Domanik Jenkins.
Pettit reported that Farmer’s Winn Coop, represented by Ron Cruise, general manager, is working with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources on its South Rushford site. Pettit said he will contact Hedin to perform the yearly walkthrough for the Peterson Farm interim‑use permit.
The commission recorded these updates as part of routine permitting business; no contested permits or formal denials were recorded in the minutes. The next zoning meeting is scheduled for April 21, 2026.
