First Selectman Jesse Bunce moved and Selectperson Melissa Pinardi seconded a series of routine and administrative motions that the board approved at its April 14 special meeting.
The board approved the minutes of the previous meeting and voted to add an executive session about a town clerk settlement to the end of the agenda. The board then approved an allocation of $6,940.55 in opioid‑settlement disbursements: $2,000 to Greenwoods Consulting and the remaining $4,940.55 to the town social worker. Selectman Bunce moved the allocation and Selectperson Pinardi seconded; the motion carried.
The board also adopted an ACH transactions risk policy at the bank’s request after Selectman Bunce read elements of the policy into the record and moved to adopt it as written; Selectperson Pinardi seconded and the motion carried. That adoption fulfills the bank requirement for a formal town policy governing ACH transaction risk.
On personnel matters, the board accepted a housing authority nomination and appointed Dave Strekas as the Tenant Commissioner for the housing authority, with a term ending Dec. 31, 2026. The motion to appoint Strekas was moved by Bunce and seconded by Pinardi and passed.
