Treasurer reports strong cash balances; committee approves October finances, minutes and building committee invoices

Treasurer Jim Coughlin told the committee that cash balances remain strong and that the district sent November billing to member towns, representing roughly $2 million. For October he reported assessments from member towns (about $366,000) and Chapter 70 funds of about $488,000, producing overall October gross income of roughly $856,000. Coughlin said October included three payrolls, which increased payroll expenses for the month.
Coughlin also noted major expense categories including health insurance, shop supplies and IT/license renewals. He asked the committee to approve the treasurer’s report; the motion was made and seconded and passed on a roll-call vote of the participating towns.
At the building committee portion of the meeting, presenter Conor Sullivan reviewed invoices submitted by the architect and other vendors. The packet included an invoice for $7,622.67 and others that together were described on the record; Sullivan said one invoice for $3,176 was included in the first item after members asked for clarification. The committee voted to approve the invoice package as presented.
The committee also approved the Oct. 16, 2024 minutes and the Sept. 18, 2024 Building Committee minutes by roll call. The meeting adjourned after routine confirmations and a brief clarification about the invoice list.
