The principal said repeat incidents declined and staff implemented interventions to reduce repeated behavior.
In teaching and learning, the principal said targeted professional development focused on equitable classroom practice, de-escalation and executive-function strategies. The school also expanded student-services staffing (speech-pathology, adjustment counseling and specialists) and incorporated summer payroll for contracted teachers into FY24 accounting.
On community-building, the principal said students and athletes contributed at least 300 volunteer hours and that vocational students competed and represented the school at regional events. The principal said a fuller written annual report will be shared and that in September the committee will receive a more detailed plan for the 2024–25 school year and updates tied to the new-building project.
The committee thanked the principal for the report and moved on to elections and other business.
