Library trustees elect co‑chairs, confirm year’s meeting dates

The Lenox‑area Board of Library Trustees on Tuesday completed its annual reorganization, electing Lauren Clark and Laura Mars as co‑chairs and Sharon Shalom as secretary/treasurer in separate roll‑call votes that passed unanimously.
The new co‑chairs took over after the votes and led a review of the coming year’s meeting schedule. Trustees agreed to move the July meeting from July 8 to July 1 (5:30 p.m., Ramsdale location) and to reschedule the November meeting from Veterans Day to Wednesday, Nov. 4, to avoid the holiday. The board said it will circulate a corrected calendar with the finalized dates and include them in the minutes.
The board also approved the minutes from the May 13 meeting by unanimous roll call. Trustees discussed the significant workload the building project will bring in the coming year and the need for chairs and committee members to make additional time commitments.
The meeting adjourned after other agenda items were addressed and a plan to return with any needed schedule or agenda changes at the July meeting.
