Premier Lakes reports maintenance progress; nano‑bubbler repair and compressor relocation proposals planned

Representatives from Premier Lakes reported maintenance and near‑term repairs at the River Ridge meeting on Aug. 27.
Bill Kurth (Premier Lakes) told the Board that "the lakes appear to be in very good shape." He reported that preserve and dry‑retention area maintenance is underway and that crews removed fallen trees from the Florida Power & Light ditch and outfall structure ahead of an impending tropical storm. Kurth said repairs to the Lake H1‑B nano‑bubbler — which had lost prime after being turned off — will be completed the following day.
Premier Lakes also changed its service schedule from quarterly to monthly during the rainy season to increase maintenance frequency. Mr. Willis and Mr. Alex Kurth will present proposals for the electrical portion of a project to relocate a compressor in the Masters Lake.
Why it matters: lake and stormwater infrastructure maintenance affect flooding risk, water quality and aesthetic conditions for residents and can affect downstream conveyances. The Board received the update and directed staff to review project proposals when presented.
