North Canaan planning commission approves minutes, reviews ZEO report and clarifies permit inspection access

The North Canaan Planning and Zoning Commission approved the minutes from its previous meeting and placed the Zoning Enforcement Officer’s written report into the record.
Chairman Mike O’Connor told attendees that mining permits are available for inspection at the town clerk’s office during business hours and that annual inspection records are available through the Zoning Enforcement Officer’s office upon request; he said acquiring those records could take a day or two. He also instructed that during public comment there should be no back-and-forth between the public and commission members and that the commission will attempt to address questions and concerns at the following meeting.
Procedural motions recorded on April 13 include the approval of minutes (moved by Dalton Jacquier, seconded by Peter Brown), the motion to set a public hearing for the Graves duplex (moved by Walt Schneider, seconded by Dalton Jacquier), and the motion to adjourn (moved by Dalton Jacquier, seconded by Walt Schneider). The meeting adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
