Isaac Graves told the North Canaan Planning and Zoning Commission he is considering building a duplex on Prospect Street and believes the property has about 125 feet of frontage, which he said should satisfy setback and frontage requirements.
Zoning Enforcement Officer George Martin told the commission he has rough site plans and indicated the proposal appears to be allowable, subject to confirmation of setbacks and other dimensional requirements. The commission did not decide the application at this meeting.
Commissioner Walt Schneider moved to set a public hearing on the Prospect Street duplex for the commission’s next meeting; Commissioner Dalton Jacquier seconded and the motion carried. The public hearing will be scheduled for the commission’s next regularly scheduled meeting on May 11, 2026, when the commission will consider the application and any public comment.
No public comment on the proposal was recorded at the April 13 meeting.
