The Sheffield Board of Selectmen accepted the resignation of Todd Raldi from the Board of Health after the board learned he no longer lives in Sheffield. The board moved to accept his letter of resignation and to send a letter of thanks.
Because the Board of Health has struggled to maintain membership, the selectmen agreed to suspend their standard two-week announcement-and-waiting policy for tonight’s appointments. The board appointed Barbara Reeves and Mark (listed in the minutes both as "Mark Becketti" and later in a motion as "Mark Petti") to fill vacancies on the Board of Health and thanked them for volunteering.
A Selectman said the town has several qualified applicants and asked the board to proceed with appointments that evening to restore the board’s functionality. The selectmen approved the motion to appoint the two candidates.
The appointments are effective immediately; any further procedural steps or related policy changes will be handled according to town bylaws and recorded in future minutes.
