Residents thank volunteers; town posts transfer-station stickers and water-company lead-notice

At the Jan. 6 meeting Karen Boudreau (Old Wendell Road) used the Citizens' Concerns period to thank Frank Froment and Jim Whitcomb for assistance with new Senior Center chairs and to report the Senior Center stove is functioning and is maintained by building maintenance worker Mike Bachini, who received vendor training.
The board announced that 2026 transfer-station stickers are available at the Town Clerk’s office. Members also relayed a notice from the East Northfield Water Company asking residents to provide information about possible lead in the lines running from the main line to homes; the utility provided a contact email (bpachalis@nmhschool.org) and directed residents to its website for further information.
The board closed the meeting after recognizing the Recreation Commission and Library for their annual luminaria and thanking the Highway Department for snow-and-ice cleanup.
