Northfield engineer reports equipment upgrades and Dollar General construction has started

Engineer Rich Wasosky reported to council that Miller Cable installed a new signal camera at the Northfield Fire Station and removed old equipment; the company will remove additional old equipment at Village Hall next week. Wasosky also said construction work has begun on the Zaremba Group/Dollar General project.
Law Director Brad Bryan told council he had contacted the lowest-bidding contractor for the Fire Station Addition and Renovation Project. "The company has no intention of withdrawing its bid. The company is ready to move forward with the project when and if the Village is ready to do so," Bryan said.
Council also recorded routine announcements and acknowledgments. Mayor Jesse Nehez thanked Lowe's in Macedonia for donating cleaning supplies to the Village, and Councilmember Gary Vojtush thanked Jay Mutter for setting up the video meeting. The council adjourned at 7:51 p.m.
