The Village of Northfield council adopted Emergency Resolution 2020-04 on Jan. 22, 2020, approving amendments to the 2019 appropriation resolution after suspending the three-reading requirement. Councilmember Jenn Domzalski moved to suspend the three-reading rule and Gary Vojtush seconded; the suspension and subsequent motion for passage (moved by Vojtush and seconded by Renell Noack) passed unanimously.
Council also discussed Emergency Ordinance 2020-05, which would amend Section 258.04(a) of the Codified Ordinances relating to holidays for full-time employees. Councilmember Gary Vojtush requested further discussion in a Wages & Working Conditions Committee meeting scheduled for Feb. 12, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. The ordinance is set to advance to second reading at the next regular council meeting.
No votes on 2020-05 were recorded at the meeting; Council scheduled committee review before further action.
