Law Director Brad Bryan read the ordinance by title; a motion to suspend the three‑reading rule (moved by Jenn Domzalski, seconded by Renell Noack) passed, and a subsequent motion for passage (moved by Renell Noack, seconded by Alan Hipps) was approved with all councilmembers voting in favor and none opposed.
The council also adopted Resolution No. 2020‑12 authorizing the mayor to enter into an agreement with Diane Gacom, doing business as Rocky Hill, to continue handling the Village’s sewer maintenance fee billing through the end of 2020. Bryan explained the contract was scheduled to end at the end of April but the Village has not yet filled its Finance Assistant position. The contract contains a 180‑day notice provision; council members approved suspending the three‑reading rule and adopted the resolution unanimously.
