NECCOG leadership slate accepted by acclamation; four town representatives honored
Summary
The Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region accepted its 2016 leadership slate by acclamation Dec. 18 in Dayville. The council also presented service awards to representatives from Chaplin, Pomfret, Thompson and Killingly.
The Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region convened a special meeting in Dayville on Dec. 18, 2015, where the council accepted a slate of officers put forward by the Nominating Committee by acclamation.
Mr. Walker presented the committee's report proposing Russell Gray of Sterling as chair for a second term, Allan Walker of Woodstock as vice chair for a first term, Dan Syme of Scotland as secretary for a second term, Rick Ives of Brooklyn as treasurer for a first term, and Arthur Brodeur of Eastford as an at-large member for a first term. No other nominations were made; the council accepted the report by acclamation.
At the meeting the council also gave service awards to Mr. Rose of Chaplin, Ms. Nicholson of Pomfret, Mr. Lenky of Thompson and Mr. Hallbergh of Killingly, recognizing their work for their towns and for the Region.
The special meeting opened at 12:00 p.m. and adjourned at 2:40 p.m., and was held at 125 Putnam Pike in Dayville.
