Commissioner Carl Lacki called the Stronach Township Planning Commission to order at 6:32 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2025 and led the pledge of allegiance.
The commission unanimously approved the meeting agenda after a motion by Phil Landis and a second from Terry Lindeman. Members present for the meeting were Commissioner Carl Lacki, Phil Landis and Terry Lindeman; Zoning Administrator Larry Thompson was also in attendance.
The body voted to defer approval of the Sept. 4, 2024 meeting minutes until the February meeting because several members who attended that earlier meeting were not present to confirm them. The commission also tabled the election of new officers for 2025 until February, citing open seats and the current absence of some participants.
During new business the commission set a schedule for February through June, moving the regular meeting day to the first Tuesday of each month and establishing a 7:00 p.m. start time, a change from the prior meeting day and time. Commissioners discussed logistics of the change but took no separate formal vote beyond adopting the agenda that included the schedule.
The meeting concluded with the commission listing the Master Plan as the primary item for the next meeting. Acting Chairman Carl Lacki adjourned the meeting at 8:02 p.m.
