The Stronach Township Planning Commission postponed review of proposed Master Plan changes at its March 4 meeting so the newly selected secretary could become familiar with the materials before substantive edits are discussed.
Commissioners also discussed possibly moving PlanCom meeting dates to follow the township meeting but tabled that change until all members can be present. Phil Vadeboncoeur, the township supervisor, pointed out that the February meeting that did not occur could not be canceled outright and must be rescheduled rather than canceled. Commissioners emphasized they must post meeting notices on the hall doors and in the newspaper to comply with the Open Meetings Act.
The next meeting agenda will include Master Plan items, the cost-recovery ordinance for the fire department and the commission meeting schedule.
