Enforcement roundup: clear‑cutting at Island View Drive continued; Kelli Cook matter continued; Candlewood Tax District violation pending

At its June 16 meeting the Sherman Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission continued several enforcement matters and requested further documentation and mitigation from property owners.
Robert Villodas and project manager Bill Anderson attended regarding Violation #03-26 (3 Island View Drive). Anderson presented a mitigation plan that addressed the area below the 440 line; commissioners asked for an expanded mitigation plan that also covers the area above the 440 line. Villodas and Anderson agreed to contact their landscaper and submit the additional plan for the commission’s July meeting.
Separately, Violation #01-26 (15 Wagon Wheel Road) relating to Kelli Lynn Cook’s excavation and construction without required erosion controls and permits was continued; no representative attended, and I/W Agent Tim Simpkins reported Ms. Cook and her surveyor are preparing a survey for the commission’s review next month.
Agent Tim Simpkins also reported he met with Tom Derby, president of the Candlewood Tax District, and Mark Flannagan about Violation #02-25 (driveway/private road on Candlewood Lake Drive) and is awaiting a response. The commission will revisit these enforcement items at the next regular meeting.
