The Sherman Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission on June 16 approved an application to remove trees at 3 Shelter Cove Road, finding the work acceptable with conditions.
Dennis Wallace attended and told commissioners the trees on the property were dead and unsafe and showed the route for their removal during the site walk. After review, Commissioner Karen Forbes moved to approve Application #03-26 with three conditions: that the permit be kept on site for the duration of work; that the applicant contact I/W Agent Tim Simpkins before starting; and that trees be removed according to the path shown on the map. Commissioner Diane LaViano seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Chairman Frank Galasso recused himself from both the related violation discussion and the application vote. The commission recorded the approval and will monitor compliance through the agent.
