Centerville City Council adopts FY27 fee schedule, approves appointments and routine business

At its June 15 meeting the Centerville City Council approved a package of routine items and several individual resolutions and appointments.
On the consent agenda the council approved minutes, committee and board minutes, a beer/liquor license for My Party Place Lounge LLC (LC0044486) and a tobacco license for Yesway #1031 (104007648), and received the monthly wastewater project report from Strand Associates. The consent agenda also included two interfund transfers (Res. 2026-4227 and Res. 2026-4228), the mayor’s reappointment of Mike Cockrum to the Drake Public Library Board through July 1, 2032, and Amendment No. 5 to the FY26 Salary Resolution (Res. 2026-4229). The consent motion passed unanimously.
Separately, the council adopted the FY27 fee schedule under Res. 2026-4223 and approved Res. 2026-4230 appointing Don Sherwood as Volunteer Fire Chief. The council also approved submission of a Transportation Alternatives Program application (Res. 2026-4231). All votes were recorded as unanimous with Brauman, Creagan, Hamilton, Hoffman and Kruzic voting in favor.
The council approved the May 2026 financial report and bills presented during the meeting; both votes carried by unanimous consent. The council adjourned at 7:31 p.m.
