During the July 10 public-comment period, resident Kim Robinson (Lakeview) told the council that residents frequently ignore a posted 'no through traffic' sign and that people have been opening or moving the gate at Lakeview and Garland. Robinson said she provided video of a recent incident to the police department and urged officials to respond.
Robinson also said there are dangerous tree branches hanging along property managed by the Lakeland/Woodland Association and that changes at Lakeview Park have removed an area she used to walk her dog. Mayor Cowper opened the public-comment period and there were five people in the audience; no other public commenters were recorded in the minutes.
Councilmember Clarke later urged residents to call the Police Department when such incidents occur. The meeting record does not show further action taken at the meeting on Robinson's specific concerns; the police department was noted as having received the video evidence per Robinson's statement.
