Pleasantville tables settlement agreement with Adkins Specialized Carriers LLC pending county review

City Attorney Bob Stuyvesant informed the Pleasantville City Council that he received a settlement agreement from Adkins' attorney and forwarded it to the county attorney and Clerk Rachel Reed for council review. Stuyvesant said the county's civil attorney reviewed the agreement and added amendments; after Adkins' attorney reviews those amendments the county will discuss and vote on the agreement.
Stuyvesant said the city may need to schedule a special meeting to vote on the agreement after the county meets. On a motion by Kyle Patterson, seconded by Rachel Lopez, the council voted unanimously to table the settlement agreement and mutual release with Adkins Specialized Carriers, LLC.
No settlement terms were read into the record in the minutes and the county's further steps will determine when the city will vote on the matter.
